My youngest, Tory, had some medical problems. I had to drop out of school while we were going through all of this. It was just too much. And my salary wasn't enough to cover those kind of bills. Long story short, I racked up so much credit card debt just to try to cover expenses that I had to file bankruptcy. Dreaded word there, right? Yeah. It was embarrassing. But you have to do what you have to do.
It turned out to be a really good decision. That was three years ago. Things are better now. I'm back in school finally, and Tory doesn't even remember being sick, which is just fine with me.
